American Traveler is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for an evening shift position requiring CRCST, CBSPD, or HSPA certification.

Details

• Work in the Sterile Processing Department within the OR setting
• Evening shifts: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, 5 days per week
• Rotating weekends and holiday shifts as needed
• On-call requirements apply
• Handles adult, pediatric, and neonate instrumentation and code carts
• May rotate between Sterile Processing, GI, and OSC departments as needed
• Preferred experience with EPIC and CSIQ/SPM EMR systems

Requirements

• CRCST, CBSPD, or HSPA certification is required
• AHA certifications required
• No minimum years of experience specified
• License required if applicable
• Proof of MA licensure required; conditional licenses not accepted
• Flu vaccination is required with no religious or medical exemptions

Additional Information

• Perform disassembly, cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
• Leak test, clean, disinfect, and process flexible endoscopes
• Inspect and assemble surgical instruments and kits according to protocol
• Document all chemical, mechanical, and biological monitoring of sterilizers and equipment
• Assess and request supplies to maintain adequate instrument and supply levels
• Pick instruments and supplies for surgical cases using surgeon-specific preference cards
• Assist with the training of new staff and volunteers
• Function independently in the absence of the manager or supervisor
• Flu vaccination is required; no exemptions allowed
