Description

American Traveler is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician with at least 5 years of experience and HSPA certification for a hospital-based role requiring travel experience.

Details

• Work in the Sterile Processing department of a hospital setting
• Day shifts, 5x8 hours per week, typically 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Floating within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals is required
• No specific EMR charting required

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Sterile Processing experience is required
• Recent travel experience as a Sterile Processing Technician is required
• HSPA certification is mandatory
• BLS is preferred
• Knowledge of decontamination, assembly, sterilizers, and scopes
• Candidates must be graduates of a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE
• SPTII or SPTIII preferred
• Must have IN or Compact license in hand prior to start date; license required if applicable
• Two supervisor references required

Additional Information

• Responsible for decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and scopes
• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract
• Auto-approval for up to 5 days of requested time off, with additional days requiring approval
• Local candidates are accepted for this role
• Any former perm or PRN employees must have a 12-month separation before consideration as a traveler
• SPT will be expected to float to affiliate facilities as required
