American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for an evening shift acute hospital role, requiring ARRT, BLS, and West Virginia state licensure.

• Position is in the acute care radiology department, general X-ray unit
• Work includes routine X-rays, fluoroscopy studies, interventional radiology procedures, and specialized imaging such as scoliosis and leg length
• Department has 2 routine X-ray rooms, 1 fluoroscopy room, 2 specials rooms, 1 routine room in PAT with stitching software, 4 C-arms, 1 O-arm, and a designated CYSTO room in the OR
• Typical daily volume is about 120 radiology/fluoro studies
• Evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends every other weekend
• Uses EPIC EMR and AGFA PACS; equipment includes GE OEC C-arms, DELL Medical with AGFA digital plates, and Siemens fluoroscopy units
• No floating to other units is required

Requirements

• Active ARRT certification and current BLS (AHA) required
• Must hold West Virginia Radiologic Technology (WVRT) Board licensure
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year hospital experience preferred
• Experience with OR and fluoroscopy procedures, as well as operation of C-arm and O-arm technology
• Strong communication skills and empathy toward patients
• Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and ability to operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment
• Physical ability to position patients for optimal imaging and comfort
• Must submit an unexpired driver’s license for consideration

Additional Information

• Main duties include performing routine X-rays, fluoroscopy studies (UGI, Esophagram, BE, etc.), interventional procedures (arthrogram, myelogram, nephrostomy), and scoliosis and leg-length imaging
• Department is supervised by an Imaging Director and Radiology Lead Tech
• Designated department orientation is provided
• Holiday coverage is required
• Black scrubs are required; scrubs are not provided
• Radiation badge must be supplied by the agency
• Applicants who previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must observe a 2-year separation before reapplying
• Travelers may not work within WVU facilities for more than one year cumulatively before a 2-year break is required
• No local travelers are accepted within a 50-mile radius; radius rules apply
