American Traveler seeks an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with Level 1 Ortho Trauma experience for a surgical services role requiring orthopedic scrubbing skills.

Details

• Work in a Level 1 trauma center Ortho unit co-managed by an orthopedic surgeon practice
• 6 operating rooms including 2 Ortho Trauma Rooms and 4 Ortho Block Rooms
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics undergoing ortho trauma, total joint replacement, and sports medicine procedures
• Procedures include Ortho trauma, elective total joints, MAKO robotic total knee and hip, fracture management, sports medicine, and basic spinal cases
• Primary vendor equipment includes Smith & Nephew and Stryker
• Day shift (3x12 hours), 6:30–19:00, scheduled Monday, Thursday, and Friday
• Call and holiday coverage required as needed
• Experience with Mako Robot is preferred, not required

Requirements

• Valid CST credential required by the State of Tennessee (NBSTSA CST required)
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CST
• Level 1 trauma ortho experience required
• Experience in ortho scrubbing, including ortho trauma, total joints, and sports medicine cases required
• No first-time travelers will be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Position includes working closely with an Ortho Surgeon practice team within a hospital environment
• Daily duties include scrubbing ortho trauma, total joint, sports medicine, and other orthopedic procedures
• Holiday and call coverage may be required to ensure 24/7 trauma care
• Dress code requires appropriate surgical attire
• Orientation provided upon start as per department policy
