American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring at least 1 year of IR experience and ARRT (R), SCQRSA, and BLS certifications.

Details

• Position is based in the Interventional Radiology unit of a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
• Shift is 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (four 10-hour shifts per week with rotating day off); occasional week of 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• On-call is required: 1 weeknight every other week, 1-2 weekends per contract, and possibly 1 holiday
• Daily caseload per technologist is 5-8 cases
• Handles vascular access, embolizations, dialysis work, and pulmonary embolism thrombectomy cases; Y90 implant and chemo embolization cases are preferred but not required
• No floating between service lines or facilities is required
• Uses Epic EMR
• Radiation badge is required and must be provided by the traveler’s agency

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology
• National certifications required: ARRT (R), SCQRSA, and BLS
• Experience with vascular access, embolization, dialysis work, and PE thrombectomy is required
• Previous experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting is required
• Ability to provide and use a radiation badge
• SSN and driver’s license required for consideration
• License required if applicable

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; approval is subject to facility needs
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are considered at a local rate
• Previous permanent staff or PRN must be separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Navy scrubs are required and provided
• Parking requires a one-time payment with costs incurred for night and weekend use
• Pre-start modules will be assigned and must be completed prior to starting
• During hurricane season (June-November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
