Description

American Traveler is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician with at least two years of acute care hospital experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Sterile Processing Department at an acute care hospital setting
• Evening shift schedule: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, five 8-hour shifts per week
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• May float between affiliated hospitals within the region as needed
• Patient population serves the full spectrum of surgical cases
• Use of Epic EMR for documentation

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Sterile Processing Technician experience in an acute care hospital
• BLS certification preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Ability to float between like units and to affiliated facilities
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years required for consideration
• Must commit to working at least 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• All travelers are expected to float between facilities as needed
• Orientation modules required and must be completed prior to start
• Returning employees must have a 3-month separation before resuming as a traveler
• Scrub color of any choice is allowed
• Free parking available on site
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
