American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 18 months of cardiac catheterization experience and advanced certifications preferred.

Details

• Work in a short-term acute care hospital cath lab department
• Adult cardiac patient population
• Scrub technologist role specializing in cardiac catheterization
• Day shift, 4x10 hour schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call is required as part of the schedule
• Potential to float within clinical scope to all sister facilities within 20 miles
• Uses Epic EMR, prior experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months recent cath lab experience required; 2 years preferred
• Certified or Registered Cardiovascular Tech (RCVT) preferred
• RCIS certification preferred
• Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Prior experience as a scrub technologist in a cath lab environment required
• Nicotine-free status required; must pass negative nicotine (cotinine) screen
• Must successfully pass EKG and Pharm test during orientation (2 attempts only)
• Two references from recent direct supervisors or unit managers required
• License required if applicable
• No pending license considered

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing for cardiac catheterization procedures
• Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be prioritized immediately upon assignment confirmation
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• All requested time off must be included at the time of consideration; RTO added later will likely not be approved
• Permanent and per diem candidates may not return within 1 year of prior assignment end date
• Smoke-free facility and strict no-smoking policy enforced for all travelers
• Ceil blue scrubs required
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• EKG and Pharm test study materials provided during orientation
