American Traveler seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist with strong neuro, crani, and multi-service expertise for a 13-week assignment in an acute care hospital operating room.

Details

• Acute care hospital operating room setting with 7 ORs and 2 endoscopy suites
• Covers adult, geriatric, pediatric, and obstetric patient populations
• Frequent cases include neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, GYN, general, and DaVinci robotics
• Staff must be proficient across all surgical services due to absence of specialized teams
• Day shifts of 8 or 10 hours, scheduled 5 days per week starting at 0630
• One weeknight of call per week and on-call every 5th or 6th weekend, with rotating holiday call
• Floating is required to pre/post-op and the ER for trauma cases
• Uses Epic EMR; experience with this system is preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist, including strong neuro and crani cases
• BLS certification required
• Driver's license required for consideration; must live at least 50 miles from facility
• Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year
• References required: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of one week in the OR
• Charge nurse support provided during shifts
• Scrub attire is provided by the facility
• Teamwork, flexibility, and a collaborative attitude are highly valued
• Returning travelers may not have worked directly for CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity in the past year
• A maximum of 7 days RTO will be approved during the contract; additional time off is not accommodated
• Core staff have long tenure and are committed to safety and quality
