Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a rotating day/evening shift OR float position with Epic charting and NBSTSA or NCCT certification required.

Details

• Work in a hospital setting as an OR float surgical technologist
• Day/evening shift rotation with 4x10 or 4x12 schedules, including some weekends and at least 2 weeks of nights per contract
• Includes at least two short calls per four-week schedule
• Assigned to days when not needed for evenings and may have weekend 12-hour shifts
• Uses Epic EMR for charting

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from NBSTSA or NCCT is required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Proof of active MA CST license required at time of consideration; conditional licenses not accepted
• AHA certifications required
• Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations required, with no exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include floating across OR units according to staffing needs
• Proof of MA licensure must be presented before starting the assignment
• Time off requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration
• Local candidates (within 60 miles of Boston) are eligible at a reduced rate
• Parking is not validated and public parking or transportation fees apply
• Scrub dress code as per hospital policy
• Uses UKG/Kronos for timekeeping
• License required if applicable
