Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a Level II trauma operating room position with rotating shifts and call requirements.

Details

• Work in a hospital operating room within a Level II trauma center setting
• Patient population includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric surgical cases
• 15 operating rooms with a daily census of 30-40 surgical cases
• Uses EPIC for electronic charting; prior EPIC experience recommended
• Typical schedule consists of 10-hour day shifts (7:00am to 5:30pm), 1-2 weekend rotations per 4-week schedule, 1-2 evening shift rotations (1:00pm-11:30pm) per 4-week cycle, and 2-3 weekday call shifts per 4 weeks
• No floating required
• No overnight or night call shifts

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required through NBSTSA or NCCT
• Current BLS certification accepted from AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military, with AHA preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of operating room experience required
• Experience with pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• License required if applicable; MA conditional licenses not accepted

Additional Information

• Assist surgical teams with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative responsibilities in a complex community hospital setting
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on patient safety and high-quality outcomes
• Flu vaccine is required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Scrub attire must align with hospital policy for operating room staff
• Local candidates within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital receive a lower pay rate
• Parking is not validated; public transportation or paid public parking is available
