Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 2 years of strong cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular experience for a hospital OR travel assignment.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital operating room (OR) setting
• Work hours are 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• Potential on call requirement
• Patients may include those requiring cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular procedures
• Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

• NBSTSA CST certification is required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the operative specialty
• Active NYS license required if applicable
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI is required
• Epic EMR experience required prior to consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required unless medically exempt with licensed documentation
• Local candidates are not accepted if residing within specified counties of a 50 mile radius

Additional Information

• Handle a full range of OR cases including cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular surgeries
• Competency testing may be required
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• More than 3 call outs in a 13-week period will result in contract termination; make up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks
• All RTO (requested time off) must be requested at submission
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment
• Travelers may only apply to one position
• Only medical exemptions for flu vaccine are accepted; no religious or personal waivers
