American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with ambulatory surgery center experience and at least 5 years of experience for a day-shift role.

Details

• Work in an ambulatory surgery center as a Certified OR Tech/Surgical Tech
• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures with consistent support for surgeons
• Day shift schedule, typically 4x10 hours from 6:55 AM to 5:25 PM
• Uses Epic for electronic health records with preference for experience
• Required to maintain and prepare the sterile field and surgical instruments

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of surgical tech experience required
• Ambulatory surgery center experience is mandatory
• Active CA CST license required; license required if applicable
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• NBSTSA certification required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Must be able to go for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule for eligibility
• Applicants must have been away from the facility for at least 1 year to return as a traveler

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include prepping and maintaining sterile fields, assisting with instrument handling, and supporting surgeons during procedures
• May assist with equipment maintenance, safety inspections, and inventory documentation
• Clerical tasks include updating patient appointments and maintaining accurate EHR documentation
• Strict adherence to confidentiality of patient health information is required
• Must complete orientation modules via e-learning during onboarding
• Only one holiday request for time off will be approved during the assignment
• Locals within 50 miles are accepted at a local rate
