American Traveler seeks an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist with BLS and cardiac/vascular case expertise for a dynamic hospital CVOR environment.

Details

• Hospital CVOR unit handling cardiovascular surgical cases
• Primarily day shifts (0630-1900) with up to two weeks of evening shifts (1100-2330) per six week schedule
• On call required: 6 calls per 6 week schedule
• One weekend shift and/or one holiday shift per six week schedule
• May float to general surgery if no CVOR cases are scheduled
• Scrubs are provided for all shifts

Requirements

• Active BLS certification required
• At least 2 years of experience as a CVOR Surgical Technologist, including scrubbing, aseptic technique, and case cart preparation
• Experience with cardiac and vascular surgeries required
• Experience with crash cart and XI Robotics preferred
• Surgical experience in general, ortho, spine, urology, endo, thoracic, neuro, gyn, bariatrics, ophthalmology, plastics, podiatry, ENT, and transplant cases preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• Valid state license required if applicable
• Flu vaccination required prior to start
• Two supervisor references required

Additional Information

• Responsible for scrubbing and supporting a wide range of cardiac and vascular procedures in the CVOR
• Expected to support a multidisciplinary surgical team and contribute to a collaborative work environment
• Must be willing to work either without an interview or after a manager review
• Must comply with RTO rules: no more than 7 days requested off per 13 week contract, and no time off in the first two weeks
• Must not have been employed by the facility within the past year to be eligible
• Orientation modules must be completed pre-start and during orientation as required
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a lower rate
• Dress code is scrubs as provided by the facility
