Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, ARRT and BLS certifications, and the ability to perform a wide range of advanced MRI procedures in a level 1 trauma setting.

Details

• Work in a magnet-designated, level 1 trauma, teaching hospital with 632 staffed beds
• Evening shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• Every third weekend required
• No floating and no on-call required
• Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Cases encompass MSK, neuro, and body MRI in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as the ER
• MRI procedures cover abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CINE, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, post-processing, MIP, MPR, spin echo, surface coils, T1- and T2-weighted images
• Uses Epic EMR (experience preferred, training provided in orientation)
• PACS system and IV contrast administration experience expected

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year MRI technologist experience in an acute care setting
• Active state license required by start date, if applicable
• Current BLS and ARRT certifications
• High school diploma or equivalent with proof required
• Experience with IV starts and administration of contrast media
• Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
• Experience in MRI imaging for a level 1 trauma center preferred
• Ability to work with a wide age range of patients from neonate to geriatric

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include independently performing routine and complex MRI exams according to physician protocols
• Epic charting and documentation is required for all exams
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Wine-colored scrubs are required

• Modules must be completed prior to start and may require up to 5 hours outside of scheduled shifts
• A maximum of 5 days of RTO is allowed and must be requested at time of application
• Return staff must have a minimum 12-month gap before returning
