American Traveler is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a full-time night shift position requiring CRCST, CBSPD, or HSPA certification and flu/COVID vaccination compliance.

Details

• Work in a Sterile Processing Department supporting the OR
• Five 8-hour night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) per week
• Rotating weekends and holiday coverage required
• On-call coverage as needed
• Responsibilities may include rotation between SPD, GI, and OSC departments
• Patient populations include adults, pediatrics, and neonates
• Utilizes Epic and CSIQ/SPM EMR systems; EPIC experience preferred

Requirements

• CRCST required; will accept CBSPD or HSPA
• License required if applicable
• Certifications must be American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Proof of MA licensure required at the time of consideration; no conditional licenses accepted
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required; no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Familiarity with Epic and CSIQ/SPM systems preferred
• Two professional references required

Additional Information

• Perform cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
• Process flexible endoscopes, assess and inspect instrumentation, and assemble surgical kits
• Prepare, load, operate, and monitor all sterilization and decontamination equipment, documenting processes as required
• Respond to emergency surgical team needs and maintain required supply levels
• Assist with stocking code carts and intubation boxes for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Provide training and support to new staff and volunteers
• Must function independently in the absence of a Supervisor or Manager
• Rotation between departmental locations as needed
• Business attire or scrubs according to departmental policy
• RTO (requested time off) must be declared at time of consideration
