Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist First Assist with strong orthopedic experience and BLS/ACLS certifications for an OR/Recovery Room contract.

Details

• Work in an operating and recovery room setting covering endoscopy, general, ENT, and orthopedic cases
• Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 15:30 with call rotation including every 6th or 7th weekend
• Assignment length is 13 weeks with bi-weekly orientation available
• Travelers will follow a 36/48 hour weekly rotation, alternating between 36 and 48 work hours each week

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent OR First Assist experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association are required
• Current Kentucky or compact state certification required if applicable
• Strong experience in orthopedic surgery required; experience in endoscopy, general, and ENT cases preferred
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered

Additional Information

• Duties include first-assisting surgeons in the OR across multiple specialties, including ortho, endoscopy, general, and ENT
• Candidates must be prepared to participate in a call rotation and cover weekend shifts as scheduled
• No block scheduling permitted; interview calls may be expected if shortlisted
• Assignment confirmation must be completed within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Travel pairs are not allowed unless specifically approved based on unit needs
• Proper professional attire and compliance with facility policies are expected
