Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with strong robotic, vascular, and orthopedic experience for a hospital operating room assignment.

Details

• Hospital operating room setting
• Responsible for scrub and preparation tasks in surgical care
• Day shifts with four 10-hour shifts per week, various start times
• Patient population includes cases requiring robotic, vascular, and orthopedic procedures
• Uses Epic EMR, Epic experience preferred

Requirements

• Active NBSTSA certification required
• Current BLS certification through AHA required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CST required
• Strong experience with robotic, vascular, and orthopedic cases is necessary
• Valid CA license required (license required if applicable)
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Must provide two supervisor references from the last two years
• Copy of certifications required at time of consideration
• Must meet 50-mile radius rule for travel eligibility

Additional Information

• Collaborate with RNs, surgeons, and the healthcare team while following AORN standards
• Modules are completed during orientation via e-learning and vary by specialty
• Only one holiday request off will be approved during the contract
• Return staff must have a break of at least one year before being considered for rehire as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted at a different rate
• Scrub attire required per hospital policy
