American Traveler is seeking a Sonographer with strong vascular experience and active RDMS and RVT certifications for a 13-week acute care assignment.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a Radiology/Ultrasound department with 4 scanner rooms
• Studies and procedures include general ultrasound, vascular, procedures, drains, and biopsies
• Average of 8–10 studies per day, sometimes more
• Philips ultrasound equipment; EMR is Epic with Fuji PACS
• 4x10-hour day shifts with variable days, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM or 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
• On-call requirement of 1–2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No floating to other departments required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of sonography experience with strong vascular background
• Active RDMS and RVT certifications via ARDMS required; RDCS is a bonus
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Experience performing procedures (drains, biopsies) required
• State license required if applicable
• A valid driver's license is required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Radiologist is in-house during regular hours and available on call after hours
• Department-specific orientation is provided; candidates must be in-state for the week of orientation even if initial modules are completed remotely
• A traveler radiation badge is required and must be provided prior to the assignment
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
• Any color professional scrubs are acceptable
