Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week contract requiring 2+ years of IR/Special Procedures experience and active ARRT registry in Radiography, Cardiac Interventional, or Vascular Interventional.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit in an acute care hospital setting
• 10-hour day shifts with rotating start times of 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, or 8:00 AM
• 40 hours per week with rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage
• Mandatory overtime may be required on an as-needed basis to ensure unit coverage

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience performing interventional and special radiographic procedures
• Hybrid Interventional Radiology experience preferred
• ARRT certification in Radiography - R.T.(R) required
• Cardiac Interventional or Vascular Interventional ARRT registry required, or registry-eligible with commitment to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Active BLS certification required; ACLS certification required or preferred
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, diagnostic equipment, radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety
• Connecticut State license to practice radiography required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform interventional and special radiographic procedures within the IR unit
• Assignment extensions to 16, 20, or 26 weeks may be considered
• Candidate will be included in the staff rotation pool alongside permanent employees for scheduling and coverage purposes
