American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting, with first-time travelers welcome and a schedule of 4x10-hour day shifts.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting in an Interventional Radiology unit
• 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• On-call required approximately 10 shifts per month, including weekend call
• Weekend call required every 3rd or 4th weekend
• Patient population spans pediatric through geriatric
• Charting in Cerner (experience required)
• Travelers may be required to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of Interventional Radiology Tech experience required
• ARRT(R) certification required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or RQI accepted)
• Active Indiana or Compact state license required (pending license accepted if applied)
• Knowledge of sterile technique and supplies used during special procedures
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Ability to maneuver equipment and adapt patient positioning based on clinical needs
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures for radiological diagnosis across a pediatric through geriatric patient population
• Follows physician instructions, prepares and operates equipment, and positions patients correctly to obtain requested diagnostic images
• May be required to scrub into procedures as needed
• May be required to obtain an advanced credential in Interventional Radiology, if applicable
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted for this Allied/IR position
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Former permanent or PRN employees of this facility must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
